Presentation
Since my music is almost entirely instrumental, I needed to find something to make it more captivating. That's why I try, as much as possible, to evoke a story, images. It's essentially atmospheric progressive rock.
However, two of my concept albums now contain lyrics. These are The Earth is dying (CD9) and The Prophecy of God's Kingdom (CD7, still being recreated in February 2026).
A while back, I called my music Brain Music. Why? Simply because every time I talked about the kind of music I compose, few people yet know about Progressive Rock, I had to explain at length, hence the idea of calling it Brain Music which seems more evocative: music for the brain, which implies that it makes you dream.
This music should allow you to escape mentally, guided by your imagination. The title and a few words will give you a starting point, but your imagination will have to do the rest. Starting with CD5, I've added images to better guide you.
As I mentioned earlier, these are generally instrumental pieces enhanced with sound effects and vocals taken here and there, used to illustrate the theme. Since CD9 (The Earth is dying), I've started adding lyrics and I sometimes sing, but it's Charles, a friend from Easy'Zic, who usually takes care of that.
This is also similar to film music. In fact, I made a short animated film for which I composed the music. Its title is "The End of Time" (this track is on my first CD). Don't look for it commercially; it's a very (too ) personal release. You'll also find other videos posted on YouTube in the videos section.
Then, a second film, this one longer, to illustrate my concept album The Earth is dying .
As for my inspiration, you guessed it, it comes from Progressive Rock, from groups like Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, Alan Parsons Project, Marillion, Vangelis and more recently, Arena, IQ, Pendragon, Dream Theater, Ayreon.
